Length Gauges
A length gauge is a precision measuring device built around a ball-bearing-guided, zero-backlash plunger connected to an internal scale read via photoelectric scanning. Spring-tensioned and extended at rest, the plunger makes direct contact with the workpiece surface to deliver an extremely accurate position reading, a standard solution for stand-alone measuring stations and laboratory quality control.

Main Applications
Stand-alone measuring stations and quality-control laboratories, incoming inspection, production monitoring, and quality control across parts of widely varying dimensions. Thanks to their high accuracy, length gauges are also used as precision position encoders — for example on sliding devices and X-Y tables.
