Power Off Brakes

Ogura offers a wide range of Power Off Brakes, also known as Spring Applied Brakes. In these brakes, the spring force is applied by default, locking the shaft when the system is not receiving electrical power (e.g., during a power outage, emergency stop, or planned shutdown). When electrical power is supplied, an electromagnetic force counteracts the spring, releasing the brake and allowing shaft movement.
